ERP VS MI
MI systems are manifestly different from ERP, and should not be confused.
ERP systems are business-based systems, focusing on the tracking of costs and substances throughout the supply chain and production processes predominantly by post plan floor event--based transaction entries ERP systems assist you to track the inputs and outputs of production, but they give you little visibility about what is happening during the fabrication process.
ERP systems stop at the point of work order release and start again when the product gets completed. It does not monitor real-time the events influencing the assembly operation.
